Hotel NH Plaza Mayor: 122€ close to the city center and cathedral
Personal recommendation: Hostel Albany was the perfect location. Quiet and super clean
Nearby essentials: cafes, restaurants, grocery, all essentials.

Have dinner at The Green Corner restaurant; it's a couple of blocks from the Cathedral.
Restaurant Castrillo is also highly recommended.
While in Leon, be sure to visit the León Cathedral, the Royal Pantheon at San Isidoro, Gaudí’s Casa Botines, and the Plateresque-style Convent of San Marcos.
Leon is a big city. Try to get accommodations near the Cathedral. Across from the cathedral is the tourist center. Go there; they will give you a map that will help you get bearings and ideas about what you would like to see and how to get there.

I'm in León! Beautiful city. I booked a hostel just a block from the Cathedral, and I'm taking a rest day here — time to restock supplies, tour the Cathedral, and just rest for a day. I bumped into several pilgrims I'd met earlier, and we planned to meet for dinner that evening. I've noticed the closer I get to Galicia, the more it rains. -That Eva!
