Camino Francés Elevation

This is start of Castilla y León region. This was one of my favorite regions.

  • Distance: Approximately 24.8km (about 15.5 miles).

  • Difficulty: 1 out of 5.

  • Terrain: Very flat and exposed; good for longer mileage days.

  • Time: 6.5 hours

  • Transportation: Buses and taxis.

  • Arcahueja: café & water

• Where to Stay

  • Albergue Huella: 16€–55€. Often cited for its pool and food (f your accommodations are in San Martín del Camino, do not take the alternate route. It does not go through San Martín )

  • Albergue La Casa Verde: 13€

  • Personal recommendation: Hostel Huella—be sure to stay there!

  Nearby essentials: cafés, restaurants, grocery—everything you need.

• Tips for Future Pilgrims

  • • Try to stay at Albergue Huella. You will love it!

    • The bus stop is down the street a few blocks.

    • I am going to say this once more! If your accommodations are in San Martín del Camino, do not take the alternate route. It does not go through San Martín, and you will have to backtrack.
