I was headed for a stay in Logroño. Viana is a great place to stay.

  Los Arcos: Last chance for a full breakfast or grocery stop at the start.

  Sansol: Approximately 4 miles from Los Arcos, a small village providing a place for a break or overnight stay.

  Torres del Río: Nearby to Sansol, this village offers cafes for refreshments.

  Casita Lucia: A food truck often found between Torres del Río and Viana offering sandwiches, coffee, fruit, and snacks.

  Viana: A large town  with multiple restaurants, cafes, and shops, ideal for a substantial lunch. Viana is a very nice city for a rest day

• Where to Stay

  • Hotel Ciudad de Logrono (private bath) 56€. (personal recommendation)

  • Pension Laurel 50€

  • Hotel Sercotel Portales 100€

  • Winederful Hostel & Cafe 18-21€

  • Nearby essentials: groceries, café, clothing, pharmacy.

• Tips for Future Pilgrims

  • Plan ahead—bring water.

  • There is very little shade. Most of the day is spent climbing treeless hills and fields.

  • This is a great town for a rest day.
